The law of attraction allows us to manifest the desires of our hearts. Manifesting means to make something appear in our reality or make something visible. Manifesting becomes a self empowerment tool when it is applied to realizing our desires.

"What is within, is without" that is the law of attraction. It means that what is first created inside the mind, you will eventually attract in your outward reality.

The law of attraction is an age-old concept, but has recently gained immense popularity as more people realize there must be a better way to live. This site is all about the principles of the law of attraction and how it can be used to manifest your desires using meditation, positive thinking, creative visualization and positive affirmations for a better life. It also contains information about spirituality, feng shui, intuition and others.

In a nutshell, this site is "soul-ly" for self-empowerment. That is why it is named life magick!

Sabotage Self-Worth — A Deeper Perspective on Love Your Neighbour Like Yourself Part 1

by Pamela Skuse | Filed under Life, Love

The majority of individuals refuse to acknowledge that they do need to improve their self-worth, self-esteem, self-image and self-respect not to even think of the expanded concepts of loving, accepting, blessing, acknowledging and honouring themselves.

Developing self-worth and self-love is not just for those with poverty or victim consciousness. Every single human being has a need to improve self-love, self-responsibility and self-empowerment, otherwise there would be no problems in the world — there would be no victims and there would be no perpetrators , there would be no suffering, hardship, punishment and struggling with ‘just enough to survive’. Because one may appear to look good on the outside, or if one may have material wealth, if one has a good job with ample income, if one can speak proudly or if one has egotistically embarrassing experiences there is still a need to honour and love the self to the state of where you have total unconditional love, total acceptance of all things, total compassion, ‘know-no-agenda’ and have complete respect and honour for everything and everyone.

Have you ever heard of the phrase “Love your neighbour like yourself”!

Does this create a contradiction deep within you? Do you think that there is a deeper meaning to this phrase? If you allow yourself to wander for a moment, can you see with clarity beyond this concepts, to the true meaning, the energy structure — to see beyond the present understanding of this commandment?

Look at the conflicts and wars within the mass consciousness world and then look at your own experiences. Can you see how each individual person in your environment perceives, belittles and judges others, with very little care and attention? Can you see that same quality in how they treat themselves? They act and react with that same behaviour. Do you realize that they are one and the same? Humanity cannot live the principle of ‘love thy neighbour like thyself’ within their community. Society’s conditioning, facades, benchmarks and dogmas behold this concept and make the outer world think that, as adults, they are treating their neighbour with love and kindness - truly they are not!

Beneath the surface, what are your feelings, your thoughts, beliefs and judgments about your neighbour, family, or the other cultures around the world? Is there prejudice or are you putting on a false front, a façade? What role models do you teach your children to adapt and to adopt as their own?

Can you see that within each individual, and even within yourself - there is a part that belittles and abuses yourself? This part does not accept some aspect of the self in some way - whether it is emotionally, physically or spiritually. Do you see that individuals blame everything else outside of the self for their issues and misfortune? Does that apply to you also? It is another’s fault for the experiences that you are having? Do you see that nearly every person seeks advice and validation to something or another outside of self — that something or someone else is smarter, grander, more skilled and superior to them, therefore stating that they are indeed inferior and untrusting to search for their own answers? Do you also?

Can you begin to question this perception, looking at the energy structure - beyond a logical mind?

To treat a neighbour or any other person with unconditional love, compassion, respect, care and kindness, you first have to treat yourself with love, compassion, respect, care and kindness. You must be the full vessel. Then, the inner loving energy vibrations can be projected out through your behavioural patterns and through your actions. Your consciousness projects out the loving energy quality or the unloving trait way beyond a façade. It will be returned to you, as you will receive what you give out - even if you are not aware of your inner feelings and beliefs.

Energy is reflected from the inner to the outer. You must have that quality within you - in your core belief structure - to attract and experience that quality in your outer reality. You are what you think, feel and believe in. You are how you see yourself - which is reflected in your body and in your experiences! If you feel unworthy, unloved or picked on, being a victim of society’s frustrations, you have to look at yourself. If you become a victim of fate or circumstances, it is your responsibility, for you are unconsciously attracting that quality to you! Your abuser is mirroring an aspect of you of how you see and treat yourself, deep at your unconscious level.

Two Steps to Observe

1. Firstly, you must accept the responsibility for your own actions for they are your creations. 2. Secondly, through observing your thoughts, feelings and experiences, and through observing the building-creating processes and the destructive-destroying processes within you, you will see how your belief system - your inner energy structure is formed.

How can you love your neighbour if you don’t love yourself first? And how can you love yourself, if you criticises, belittle, condemn, disrespect, abuse, self-destruct, self-indulge and judge yourself? If you indulge in attachments, obsessions and addictions, habits or bad moody behaviours, how can you accept, respect and love another? If you do not like what you do, or what you look like or who you are, or if you have an agenda of how life should be - how can you do otherwise for another?

Holiday Expectations

Imaginations can get tense during the holidays. Expectations wrestle in our minds and lives. Holiday traditions are jammed into already busy days. Instant gratification turns into regret. Debts are accumulated. Or sometimes, the imagination just shuts down and we slog through the holidays doing what other people are expecting of us. What if this season, a spiritual expectation can improve our experience?

A spiritual expectation is different from a worldly expectation. Spiritual expectations equal a productive developing consciousness. Worldly expectations are analogous to a frenzied or idle consciousness that can’t get out of itself. For example, if we expect a holiday party to give us joy, joy has just been reduced to time/space, excluding joy from many areas of our life. And, where is joy for those who weren’t invited to the party? What happens to joy if we get sick and cannot attend the party? How reliable is joy when we go to the party and have fun, but return home to dirty dishes?

Spiritual expectations are linked to that which is greater. If we expect joy from the sheer fact we radiate joy, we can be joyful whether we are getting ready for a holiday party or not. Aligning our thoughts with the metaphysical fact that joy precedes us—joy is found for others, is found now, at a party, and when we come home to dirty dishes.

Along with joy, spiritual expectations do not depend on any human event, season, or tradition. Admittedly, the holidays can be a grand time however that grandness can extend throughout the year when emanating from unconditional hopes. It is intriguing to improve our holiday season experience and then continue to feel the holiday spirit year round. However, this requires breaking away from the familiar, from the common beliefs of what we have trained ourselves to think about the holidays.

From 21st Century Science and Health the first English revision of Mary Baker Eddy’s Science and Health, we read, “The human mind is educated into selfish and sensualistic thinking as it constantly repeats the same thoughts to its self. If we are always talking about the body or persistently anticipating bodily pleasures (or even nervously expecting pain), we are being skillfully trained in the unspiritual. This education is at the expense of spiritual development.” Likewise, if we constantly expect temporary enjoyment, or even stress, during the holidays, our spiritual development is neglected.

Many people review their holiday experiences and strive to eliminate worldly expectations by improving their habits and rituals. Less time and money are wasted. More forgiveness and philanthropy is expressed. And, their happiness and security become more stable. A confidence is built up—a confidence that love and joy is found within consciousness, not in a particular holiday or gift or food.

Expectations can be powerful. What we are hoping is generally where our head and heart are being directed. Instead of expecting the holidays to bring good-will, peace, and joy, realize and act on the fact that good-will, peace, and joy will bring a beautiful holiday experience all year round.

Law of Attraction and the story of The Shoemaker and the Elves

by Joann | Filed under Law of Attraction

I’m sure most people are familiar with the story of the Shoemaker and the Elves. But how does it relate to the concept of the law of attraction? As matter of giving a background to this post, I would like to relate a part of this wonderful fairy tale.

Once upon a time, there was a shoemaker who was barely making ends meet. Due to poverty, he can afford to buy enough leather for one pair of shoes. So every night, he would cut out the leather according to the shoe style he wanted to make; and laid them on his workbench ready to be sewn into a brand new pair of shoes early the following morning. One night, as was his habit, he left the leather on his workbench and retired for the night. He woke up early the following morning ready to start sewing. To his amazement and utter disbelief, there on his wooden workbench, stood a fine and perfectly sewn pair of shoes ready to be sold!

As you know, the story didn’t end there. It went on to tell us that a pair of elves have been responsible for the finished pair of shoes that the Shoemaker found every morning.

The story is a good analogy of how to easily manifest your desires through the law of attraction. Our job is to know what we want to achieve, but we must leave it up to the universe how to achieve them. The cut out leather represents our own preparations of what we want to manifest. Through positive affirmations, creative visualizations and our own self confidence, we lay out the details (leather materials) of the finished product (the pair of shoes).
